The brief

Outdoor dining in the Gulf is an engineering problem before it is a hospitality one. The cooling has to be felt and not seen: no plant noise over dinner, no equipment in the sightline, and comfort that holds at the height of summer.

02

The work

Every terrace was modelled in CFD first, so the air velocity and temperature across the seating were known before the design was fixed. Indirect evaporative coolers feed underground HDPE ducts at R-10, with supply grilles set into the planter walls in polycarbonate and stainless steel, and the installation was commissioned and balanced against the model.

We delivered outdoor cooling across five of the hotel's F&B venues, alongside open-air work at Lusail's Commercial Boulevard and the 04 Mall at The Pearl: the specialty the company is known for, at the standard a five-star operator demands.
